Knowing what products work with your skin can give you the healthy, flawless complexion you’ve always wanted.
If you're not sure what your type is follow these simple steps below.

1. Prep It
You’ll want to prep your skin to get the most accurate results. To do this remove any make- up, dirt, or residue by washing your face.
TIP! Avoid over-washing your face as this could cause an inaccurate read.
2. Wait
You may be tempted to lather on a moisturizer after washing your face, but you’ll want to wait an hour without touching it.
3. Examine
Once the wait is up, take a tissue (or blotting pad) and dab your t- zone with it (the t-zone is the forehead nose and chin). Have a look at the tissue to see if any oil has rubbed off onto it. If it has oil on it, it means you either have oily or combination skin. If there is no oil, your skin is dry.
4. Feel
Tight? If you skin feels tight after cleansing; your skin is dry.
Somewhat tight? Combination skin types will have tightness in the cheeks but an oily t -zone.
Clean? With oily skin, you will have a cleaner feel immediately following a wash
None of the above? Congrats! You’re on of the lucky few who has unproblematic 'normal skin' that requires low maintenance
5. Look
Do you have red, itchy patches? Well then, this means you have dry skin! If your face has a ‘shine’ or ‘glow’ to it, you have oily skin.
While you're still in the mirror, take a quick look at your pore size. If you take a step back and can still see your pores, this means you have oily skin. Otherwise, if you hardly notice pores, you have normal to combination skin. Combination types will notice different pore sizes around their face.
6. Pinch It
If your skin wrinkles easily after pressure is applied, this is an indication you have dry to combination skin. Oily skin will feel smooth when pinched.
